Tag - The List

So I saw this tag on DollyMix184's blog and had to do it! Its basically to make a list of 5 people you would be allowed to cheat with, like in Friends when Ross and Rachel make their lists. Of course I couldn't think of anything better to do on a lazy Sunday afternoon than scour the internet for pics of hot celebs, can you?! :P My list would always be changing because there is always a new celeb that I'm obsessed with but here is who would be on it at the moment, in no particular order...
(PS I couldn't stick to just 5 lol)

1) Shemar MooreI love crime shows and was previously obsessed with Gary Dourdan aka Warrick Brown from CSI but Shemar is my new crime show hottie.

2) Channing Tatum Need I say more?

3) Michael Ealy
Those eyes....

4) Will SmithFunny, good looking and a family man, hes perfect!

5) Wentworth Miller
You couldn't be a Prison Break fan and not fall in love with Michael Scofield!

6) Chris NunezI love Miami ink and always changed my mind between Ami and Chris but right now Chris is my fave. Gotta love a guy with some ink!

Who would be on your list?

Inspirational Images: Jessia Stam, Fendi A/W '09

I've decided to start a series of blog posts that I'm calling "Inspirational Images", where I'm basically going to post images that I come across that I find inspirational, usually for the make-up look shown in them. I probably wont even write much because sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words:

My Travel Makeup Kit

So on Monday I got back from a one week holiday in sunny Spain and thought I would share with you what I took in my make-up bag! I kept it very simple because I knew I wouldn't be wearing much make-up in the heat and I took all cream based products to save me from carrying around loads of different brushes, I just used my fingers instead. So here's what I took:

Face: MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC42
Cheeks: Ben Nye Creme Rouge Wheel CR-100
Eyes: MAC Paint Pot in Indianwood, L'Oreal Superliner Carbon Gloss, Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara Waterproof in Black, Coastal Scents 88 palette, 17 Metallic Eye Pencil in Bronze.
Lips: Rimmel Shock Gloss in 208 AMP'ED , Nivea Caregloss & Shine (the pink one)

(will add a pic soon)

A couple of these products didn't do very well in the heat. My studio finish concealer looked like it was sweating, it was gross! I didn't end up using it because of this. The sexy curves mascara went off and it smelt terrible but I still used it because my other other choice was to do without mascara and I couldn't do that!! lol It went straight in the bin when I got home.

It was a nice relaxing girly holiday. Here's a picture of the view from the balcony of our apartment:
Nice isn't it :)

One of my best friends who I went on holiday with has also just started a blog. She's a qualified nail technician and always has beautiful nails, she also has a great acrylic nail tutorial up at the moment, check out her blog here.

Body Shop's New Precious Pearlescents Collection

I'm not normally a big fan of The Body Shop's make-up line, I think its overpriced for what it is but after seeing a few peoples blog posts about the freebies they got from the recent beauty bloggers event I decided to buy a couple of things online. Here's what I ordered:

Eye Trio in 02 Sundown Glow RRP £9.50

Blush Trio in 02 Warm Sunset RRP £12.50

Don't they look nice?! Plus the reviews I have seen have been positive but what really made me think I had to buy these was the price I got it for. I still think these products are overpriced because for just a little more I could buy higher end products but there are some great offers on at the moment and I managed to get both of these for only £13.32!!!! That's less that £1 more than the price of the blusher alone!! So, I had to share this with you so that you can take advantage of the offers too! There were 3 offers that I took advantage of:

1) This bank holiday weekend The Body Shop is offering free delivery
2) Buy one get one half price on make-up and skincare
3) If you use the promotional code FACEOFF10 you get 10% off your order

Also for some reason I got the blush (which is more expensive) half price instead of the eye shadow which is weird because I'm pretty sure it should be the cheaper item that is half price? but I'm not complaining :) I think it might be because I added the blush to my shopping cart second... I dunno but try it out because I think £13.32 for the two products is great value considering it would have cost me £22 full price. Hope this has helped if you were thinking of buying from The Body Shop!

NOTD: Rimmel Rose Libertine

I have been trying to get my hands on Barry M Pink Flamingo nail polish that everyone in the world of beauty blogs has been talking about for a while but my local Superdrug and Boots never have it!! :@
So I picked up Rimmel 60 Seconds polish in Rose Libertine instead. Its a beautiful pinky coral which is perfect for me because a lot of the other corals that I have tried were too orange and didnt suit my skintone. Sorry about the messy application in the pics :S

I'm heading to Superdrug on 2nd September.....

To pick up these beauties:

Bourjois mini color exciting eye liner, £2.44
Being released on 2nd September, these pencils are going to be available in 8 shades and I'm pretty sure I will be wanting them all! I already love the Bourjois full size eye pencils and the range of shades that they come in, so I have high hopes for these ones. The mini size will be perfect for throwing into my clutch bag on a night out and with the mini size comes a mini price. Loves it!

Sleek Pout Polish, £3.91
I have always wanted to get a MAC tinted lip conditioner but could never justify spending over £10 on a lip balm, especially since I found them to have no colour pay-off on my lips, so I resisted temptation and stuck to my trusty Nivea lip balm. Then I heard about these Sleek tinted lip conditioners and I am SO excited! I can't wait to see them in the shops. They are going to be available in 4 shades and from what I have read on other blogs they are really pigmented, which is great for me because I don't wear lipsticks. I prefer a more natural lip and this sounds like it will be the perfect in between a lip balm and gloss. Oh and it has SPF 15! Also releasing on 2nd Sept it will be on offer for a limited time, any 2 for £6.99.

Is anyone else as excited as I am?

MAC Style Black Collection

Here are a few images from MAC's Style Black collection that should be releasing in October in the UK and at end of September in the US. I don't know if I'm the only one, but I'm just not very excited about this collection. I like the imagery but I just don't know what I would do with black lip products! My opinion may change when I actually see the collection but for now the only products that really interest me are the four mineralize eye shadows, which are all black with different coloured pearl running through them... and maybe the nail polishes because I'm a sucker for dark polishes.

Are you going to be buying anything from this collection?

Versace Autumn/Winter '09 Smokey Eye

I just love love love this look! The blue/bronze iridescence on top of the black is just beautiful and makes the look more interesting than your average smokey eye. Pixiwoo has done a tutorial on it, check it out here. I'm going to try to recreate the eyes when I'm bored and hopefully I won't look like I got punched lol. I think if I keep the dark shadows closer to the lids I could wear this look on a night out. Time to get experimenting!

I Heart This Topshop Tee...

This basic t-shirt from Topshop is only £8 and it is so versatile, I love it! I have it in a grey marl colour, it has raw edges and its just a great basic that I know I will get a lot of wear out of. I only got it last week & I've already worn it with jeans, layered under another top and with leggings because its long enough to cover my bum lol! I'll also be packing it in my suitcase for my holiday next week to throw on over my bikini at the beach :) I want it in every colour!! I will post pics of me wearing it soon.

Bargain Alert: Collection 2000 Hot Looks Nail Polish

I am one of those people that is constantly changing their nail colour, I can't walk into Boots or Superdrug without buying a new nail polish which can be an expensive habit! But not when it comes to these.....

I first heard about these polishes on The Yummy Mummy's Beauty Blog: If 129 were a nail polish...and at £1.75 I had to try them out! I was particularly interested in the lilacy-pink one which is called Dynasty. When I went into Superdrug these were on offer two for £2.99 so of course I couldn't resist buying another! They had a lot of bright colours but I chose this light grey colour called Wham and seeing as the Barry M Grey Nail Paint didn't work for me I was hoping that this one would.

I took some pictures but my camera isn't great so I would recommend you check these out in the shops but I'll post them anyway:

Wham (2 coats, without base or top coat)
Dynasty (2 coats, without base or top coat)

I love the pink one!! The polish went on well, it was streak-free, 2 coats was enough and the colour is beautiful! I think it would look pretty on almost anyone!

Unfortunately as much as I want to have chic grey nails I just don't think it is meant to be :( I will stop buying grey nail polish from now on as its just not my colour. This polish went on very sheer and with 2 coats it looks a little uneven so you would need at least 3 coats to get bottle colour. The consistency was not as good as the pink one but at less that two pounds you cant really complain.

So get to Superdrug now and grab a bottle... or two! You can afford to try out some new colours :)

I thought this would be easier.....

This blogging stuff is much harder than it looks! I decided to start a blog because I wanted to be a part of this online beauty community that has taught me so much and has definitely fuelled my make-up addiction! At this point it feels a little strange because I feel like I'm talking to myself lol hopefully I will get a few followers so that I no longer feel like a crazy person! :P
Anyways I will be posting things like hauls, reviews and maybe some FOTDs but before that I need to sort out the layout so that my blog will look pretty :)
