NOTD: Elegant Touch French Manicure

I popped into Superdrug last week and saw this Elegant Touch French Manicure set on offer for £3.99 so I picked one up as I haven't done a french manicure in ages. The set comes with a natural colour, a white, and a top coat. It also comes with tip guides to help although I haven't used these as I prefer to do it free hand.
I think this set is really good for the price because I find that the white nail polishes I use for the tips always get gloopy and thick really quickly so I don't really want to spend too much on it.


I used the white and natural colours and my own Sally Hansen top coat instead of the one in the set.

Batiste for Brunettes!!

Just saw a post on lipglossiping (great site, check it out!) about Batiste coming out with a dry shampoo for brunettes! I'm so excited, this is going to be a saviour on greasy hair days. I was always worried before that I was going to have some white patches in my hair when I used the normal Batiste so this solves that problem. I did a little search and saw it on ASOS.com for £3.00 so it comes at a very good price too :)

NOTD: Barry M Bright Purple

Just painted my nails! I've been really busy with uni work lately but I somehow always manage to find time to paint my nails lol. I ♥ Barry M nail polishes! They are really good quality especially for the price and come in a great range of colours so you can afford to try out something new. I really like purples but normally go for either really light or really dark purples on my nails but went for a bright purple this time and I love it! On to the pics....

Nails Inc Colour Trios and NOTD

Two weeks ago I saw a blog post from Rosa Adores about a nails inc offer. They were selling for one day only sets of 3 nail polishes for only £8!! Of course I couldn't resist :p
They came on Saturday but I only got time to do a post now. Look how the pretty envelope is!


I'm not sure if these colours are available to buy separately or if they were only available in this set but I thought I would do some swatches anyway.

EOTN 16.10.09

I went out last night wearing this:


Dress: Dorothy Perkins, £18 (recent purchase)
Shoes: Steve Madden (check out Amazon.co.uk for Steve Madden, these were a bargain!)

So I decided to go for a grey smoky eye, had to apply it really quickly after a last minute decision to go out! I always find the random, last minute nights out are the best though! Anyways, on to the pics...




Again I used my trusty 88 eyeshadow palette and L'Oreal Superliner. I also recently bought Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara, which I have on too.

By the way does anyone else find that their eyelashes on only one eye always droops down during the day?! I think I need to start curling only by left eyelashes lol

OOTD 11/10/09

I went to a Christening today and here's what I wore:

I was running late and didn't have time to apply eyeshadow so I went for a very simple eye look. Its nothing great but thought I'd post pics anyways.

Eyes: MAC Paint Pot in Indianwood, L'Oreal Superliner Carbon Gloss, Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara

My camera really washes out the colours of any eyeshadows that I use so let me know if you can recommend a camera that is good for photographing makeup!
