NOTD Barry M Pale Purple

Just got my hands on the new Barry M shade Pale Purple (308) this week and thought I would do a NOTD for you all. Its a really pretty pale purple (like the name suggests!) with a slightly pink undertone to it. I love it!

with flash (looks a little more pink here than in real life)

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend :)

NOTD: Elegant Touch French Manicure

I popped into Superdrug last week and saw this Elegant Touch French Manicure set on offer for £3.99 so I picked one up as I haven't done a french manicure in ages. The set comes with a natural colour, a white, and a top coat. It also comes with tip guides to help although I haven't used these as I prefer to do it free hand.
I think this set is really good for the price because I find that the white nail polishes I use for the tips always get gloopy and thick really quickly so I don't really want to spend too much on it.

I used the white and natural colours and my own Sally Hansen top coat instead of the one in the set.

Here's the results:

NOTD: Barry M Bright Purple

Just painted my nails! I've been really busy with uni work lately but I somehow always manage to find time to paint my nails lol. I ♥ Barry M nail polishes! They are really good quality especially for the price and come in a great range of colours so you can afford to try out something new. I really like purples but normally go for either really light or really dark purples on my nails but went for a bright purple this time and I love it! On to the pics....

Nails Inc Colour Trios and NOTD

Two weeks ago I saw a blog post from Rosa Adores about a nails inc offer. They were selling for one day only sets of 3 nail polishes for only £8!! Of course I couldn't resist :p
They came on Saturday but I only got time to do a post now. Look how the pretty envelope is!

I'm not sure if these colours are available to buy separately or if they were only available in this set but I thought I would do some swatches anyway.

I decided to put buckingham palace on my nails, I did it on Sunday so they are a little chipped.

NOTD and First OOTD!

So first here is my NOTD which I actually applied on Monday. I'm sure you have probably seen a lot of this very popular nail polish - its OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark.

I love this colour in winter and when my nails are shorter. Its a great plummy, almost black, purple. This was the first dark polish that I bought that was actually dark on the nails without the need for loads of coats!

So I have been wanting a blazer for a while now, but being a student again I cant really afford to spend upwards of £50 on one. Yesterday I bought one from New Look that was £30, on offer now for £20 and with my student discount I got it for £18!! Yay for student discounts!! :) I wore it today with jeans and a plain white tee...

Blazer - New Look
Jeans - H&M
T-shirt - Primark
Necklace - Topshop
Shoes - H&M

Close ups:
I hope you enjoyed this post!

NOTD: Rimmel Rose Libertine

I have been trying to get my hands on Barry M Pink Flamingo nail polish that everyone in the world of beauty blogs has been talking about for a while but my local Superdrug and Boots never have it!! :@
So I picked up Rimmel 60 Seconds polish in Rose Libertine instead. Its a beautiful pinky coral which is perfect for me because a lot of the other corals that I have tried were too orange and didnt suit my skintone. Sorry about the messy application in the pics :S

Bargain Alert: Collection 2000 Hot Looks Nail Polish

I am one of those people that is constantly changing their nail colour, I can't walk into Boots or Superdrug without buying a new nail polish which can be an expensive habit! But not when it comes to these.....

I first heard about these polishes on The Yummy Mummy's Beauty Blog: If 129 were a nail polish...and at £1.75 I had to try them out! I was particularly interested in the lilacy-pink one which is called Dynasty. When I went into Superdrug these were on offer two for £2.99 so of course I couldn't resist buying another! They had a lot of bright colours but I chose this light grey colour called Wham and seeing as the Barry M Grey Nail Paint didn't work for me I was hoping that this one would.

I took some pictures but my camera isn't great so I would recommend you check these out in the shops but I'll post them anyway:

Wham (2 coats, without base or top coat)
Dynasty (2 coats, without base or top coat)

I love the pink one!! The polish went on well, it was streak-free, 2 coats was enough and the colour is beautiful! I think it would look pretty on almost anyone!

Unfortunately as much as I want to have chic grey nails I just don't think it is meant to be :( I will stop buying grey nail polish from now on as its just not my colour. This polish went on very sheer and with 2 coats it looks a little uneven so you would need at least 3 coats to get bottle colour. The consistency was not as good as the pink one but at less that two pounds you cant really complain.

So get to Superdrug now and grab a bottle... or two! You can afford to try out some new colours :)
